Rush Straw is a stiff thick straw with a green-beige colour, normally left in its natural form. It is the lightest straw and is very breathable. It has a natural scent of fresh grass. Rush straw stems from marsh plants of the Genus Juncus as well as Sedge. It has hollow stems, which are used for making hats, baskets as well as mats, etc.
Rush is abundant and commonly found in swamps and moist areas of the Northern Hemisphere. Rush Straw has to be handled with care, because it can break.
